Andrei Dorian Gavrila was born in Romania in 1976. He holds a master degree in philosophy and
journalism and completed his academic background in 2015 with a bachelor degree in digital film and photography. Since 2004 he has worked  as a photographer and documentary film maker in Asia and Europe. As video editor at  Astra Film Sibiu, he contributed to productions that went on to earn international accolades like “The Best Documentary” prize at Ducopulis Barcelona 2005.
His work in the street photography genre was featured at festivals such as Miami 2018, Brussels 2023 or Livorno 2023 and published in magazines such as EyeshotMag’s “Street Jungle” collection. In 2024 he won the second prize of the Brussels Street Photography Festival and the Honorable Mention at Pisa Street Photography International Festival. He lives in Frankfurt am Main and photographs in the region and internationally.
